We are indebted to our invaluable and irreplaceable Egyptian staff from Qift, Luxor, and Aswan. We could not possibly organize an excavation without the unending work of Rais Omer Farouk. Thank you to Omer, and all of the great staff who helped us with every crazy task required, from buying glue to carrying stelae. Thanks to Abd el Halim, Abdl Hamed, Ahmed Adel, Ahmed Egico, Ahmed Helmi, Ahmed Hassan, Anwar Hussein, Hamada Sayed, Mahmoud Nour, Mohammed Farouk, Mubarak Khaled, Ramadan Ragab, Tarek Saad, Yaseen Hassan.
We want to thank Madgy Ali who is in charge of organizing all of applications and official reports submitted to the Egyptian government. We could not navigate the system without him.
We want to thank our landlord in Egypt, Mr. Mahmoud Hussein, who accepted every crazy aspect of living with an excavation team in his house.
