Our Mission

The Wadi el-Hudi Expedition is engaged in a race against time to map and document archaeological remains in a little explored area of Egypt’s Eastern Desert. As a team, we have several commitments that guide us in pursuing this goal. We are committed to:

The responsible and sustainable publication of archaeological data for the use of future scholars and scientists.

Advocating for the protection and conservation of the archaeological heritage of Egypt for future generations.

Responsible use of Egypt’s archaeological legacy while applying the most up to date scientific techniques and technologies to study and conserve it.

Fostering opportunities for students and beginning scholars to advance their professional development.

Bringing together international and Egyptian students and scholars in collaboration to study and save world heritage.

Finally, sharing our results in an exciting and understandable way that will educate people of all ages and backgrounds about this region and its place in world history.
